Our driving lesson packages are valid for a 12-month period.
Our first objective is to teach the student how to steer properly – what’s also known as a free-flowing steer. This ensures their arms don’t get tangled up when turning.
We will slowly introduce them to using feet pedals. This may not happen straight away – it depends on the child’s progress.
At first, we keep the student in a quiet, safe place with minimal traffic. We slowly introduce them to more traffic one lesson at a time until they have more confidence in all driving conditions.
We will always make a recommendation when (and where) the child is ready to drive with a parent. It’s easy for parents to want to jump straight in, but if they take a student too far out of their abilities too early it may diminish confidence.
At Wazzas Driving School, we offer a safe an encouraging environment for our students and never yell if a mistake is made.
Wazzas consists of a relatable husband and wife team who can provide either manual or auto lessons. No matter your experience or skill level, we always strive to create confident drivers who possess good habits behind the wheel.

Wazzas Driving School is based on Brisbane’s southside and also teach in the Logan region and northern parts of the Gold Coast.
Our common service areas include: Underwood, Springwood, Logan, South Brisbane, Mt Gravatt, Runcorn, Sunnybank, Browns Plains, Pacific Pines and Helensvale.
This varies among individuals. We will work with you to build your abilities at your own pace. You may not need to commit to 10 lessons and we won’t tell you need 10 lessons if you don’t, so we recommend you start one of our smaller packages and go from there.
When you are ready to drive it’s good to start with 1-3 lessons straight away, that way you establish good habits right from start. Then we’re happy to spread out lessons – monthly or every 2-3 monthly to ensure you’re maintaining good habits behind the wheel.
We start slowly, so you have time to get over any nerves and get comfortable with driving.
You also need to remember that we have dual controls, so we can keep you safe while you learn.

We can tell you when we believe your child has the ability to go driving with you. We can also recommend safe areas for your child to drive that are based on their skill level and won’t be too confronting or overwhelming.
Yes, if you wish, but we do prefer to teach in our own vehicles. All of our vehicles are fitted with dual controls which are ideal with those who are new to driving. It means our experienced instructors can – if required – take over control of the vehicle very easily should the situation require it.
Yes. Students can have a lesson directly before their test where they are taken around the testing area. We then take them straight to the test after the lesson. Find out more about our Driving Test Package here.

For your first 10 professional driving lessons with an instructor from Wazzas Driving School will give you 30 hours on your logbook, as each hour equates to 3 hours.
However, once you’ve completed 10 hours with an accreditated driving instructor, you will accrue 1 hour for every 1 hour you drive.
